Meet the founder, kinzo

GirlsLoveBasketball was founded in 2021 by Kinzo, an LA native from Inglewood and a lifelong player and fan of the game. The brand was inspired by conversations with his daughters, Akiesha and Alisha – ballers themselves –about supporting female athletes with personalized merchandise that highlights girls basketball. 

The GirlsLoveBasketball movement celebrates girls who play, love, and live the game—while giving them apparel that reflects their passion and pride. Through the discipline and camaraderie of basketball, she builds resilience, leadership, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a strong sense of community—on and beyond the court.
